Foyle Pride 2012 Feb' Meeting

The January meeting for 'Foyle Pride 2012' was a great success and it was brilliant to see so many young people getting involved in this years planning. The committee for 2012 was selected and a decision to have sub-committees was taken which allows more of the community to get involved this year in helping out. The next meeting is planned for 15th February in Sandino's back room at 8pm. Anyone wishing to get involved and help out in any way should turn up and use their voice. Let's make 'Foyle Pride 2012' a week to never forget.

'Belle of the Ball' is a new and innovative drag queen pageant coming to the Northwest in May. The show has taken its premise from the 'Miss Universe' Beauty Pageant and talent competitions such as X-Factor and Britain’s Got Talent combined, along with the added glitter, jazz and drama that the Drag Queens will bring to the show. It is to be held in mid spring in a Derry/Londonderry location(undisclosed to date) with doors opening from 6pm and the show starting sharply at 8pm. Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased through hostess Misty Falls or at the door on the night. It would be great to have as much support there as possible as the money raised goes back into the LGBT community of Derry through the 'Foyle Pride Festival'. This will be a great night to be had by all and it will hopefully be the start of history in the making.

Contact NI also have volunteer counsellors on clinical placement all of whom are also qualified or working towards qualification.
